LeRoy Manor to Close LeRoy Manor, located at 509 S. Buck Rd; LeRoy, IL will close and cease operations no later than March 31, 2019. The nursing home originally opened in 1989. Unlimited Development purchased the home in 2005, and built an Outpatient Physical Therapy addition, as well as an addition for Alzheimer’s services, in 2011. The Board of Directors of Unlimited Development made the difficult decision to close the nursing home due to inadequate Medicaid reimbursement rates, and the increasing difficulties these rates place upon rural based homes. Lisa Miller, representative of Unlimited Development said, “The home has enjoyed tremendous support from the community. It’s a shame that small, rural based homes are having such difficulties remaining viable”. LeRoy Manor has provided quality care to the citizens of LeRoy, and the surrounding communities. Over the many years, its caring, dedicated staff has provided quality services to the residents of the home. Notices of the facilities closure are being sent to appropriate State agencies, the residents, and the staff. The home will offer to assist the residents in securing alternative placement, and advise the residents on available alternatives. For further information, contact Lisa Miller at: 217-497-1448.
